Connect your Discord server

Sign in with Discord or with an email link, then open your organization or make one. Make a project for your community, and choose Link a Discord server. Discord asks which server, and shows the permissions Referr asks for. You need the Manage Server permission in that server.

What each permission is for

• Create Invite: each campaign gets its own Discord invite.
• Manage Server: to read your invites, so Referr can tell which one each person used.
• Manage Roles: only if a campaign gives a role to the people it brings in.
• View Channel and Send Messages: only to post alerts and reports in a channel you pick.

After connecting

Referr counts every join from then on. It can't tell where people who joined earlier came from, so your numbers start the day you connect. People with Manage Server in the server can open the project from Referr too, without being in your organization.
